DOCTOR DEVIN A. MIKLES
Dr. Devin Mikles, MD FACCP was a specialist in Internal Medicine with a specific focus
on integrating traditional western medical practice with holistic treatment approaches.
Due to his interest and commitment to maintaining and supporting a holistic practice,
Dr. Mikles trained for and completed a course of study to receive the title of
Homeopathic Physician MD(H). Dr. Mikles also served as a teacher and mentor
throughout his professional life ad held a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant
Professor in Clinical Education from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, College
of Osteopathic Medicine. He was the CEO, President and Medical Director of Choices Integrative Health of Sedona
which opened in November 1998 and closed in 2017. He was foremost a very caring physician who was the first in
Sedona ara to bring a clinical practice recognizing the critically important connection between physical
health, the mind and the spirit. He was responsible for caring for so many in the Verde Valley Communityand they continue
to express their gratitude.
Interesting Facts: Dr. Devin was a musician and singer which were also his passions. He was an opening act for
The Grateful Dead in 1969! Dr. Devin shared many stories of the 60’s and 70’s in the early days of Celestial Seasonings Tea
being bagged by hand in his living room by friends who founded the company. He also turned down a record deal
with Columbia Records to pursue medicine.
Dr. Devin lived bravely with Parkinson’s disease for over 23 years. The family will be donating a portion of the proceeds
of the estate sale to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
